This piece
is a result of my fascination with my Abba God and His holy place. . I
go to sleep many nights thinking about Heaven and imagining the beauty
and splendor of it.
While I
don’t worship angels but the One who created them, they are such a big
part of heaven, and
they’re majestic beings created by God, when I imagine Heaven, they’re
always a part of it.
This particular print block
took 6 hours to carve. I design the blocks that I want to do multiple
images
with to fit together like a puzzle so that there’s no seam in the final
piece. In this final piece, the block is printed four times. The center
image is a separate print.
In this piece, you’ll see:
- 7 flames representing the 7 lamps (Rev. 4:5)
- 24 crowns (Rev. 4:10)
- blue in the center representing the sapphire floor beneath
God’s feet (Ex. 24:10)
- green toward the outside of the image representing the emerald
rainbow above the throne (Rev.4:3)
- angels holding a bowl of incense which represents the prayers
of the saints (Rev. 8:4)
- saints bowed before their God (Philippians 2:10)
- the Hebrew word “Holy” (Rev. 4:8)
- Trinity symbol in the center (2 Cor.13:14)
